Papyrus Is an Early Form of Paper Made From the Pith of the Papyrus Plant

A Sheet of Papyrus Is Made From the Stem of the Plant. The Outer Rind Is Stripped Off First and the Sticky Fibrous Inner Pith Is Cut Lengthwise Into Thin Strips of About 40cm Long. The Strips Are Then Placed Side by Side on a Hard Surface, With Their Edges Slightly Overlapping, and Then Another Layer of Strips Is Laid on Top at a Right Angle. Whilst Still Moist the Two Layers Are Hammered Together, Mashing the Layers Into a Single Sheet. Papyrus Is Still Much Used by Communities Living in the Vicinity of Swamps.

If you have paid via cheque or Paypal eCheque (similar to traditional paper cheques) your order will show as Queued until your cheque has cleared. If you paid using a Paypal instant payment or via our card processing gateway and your card payment was authorised then your order will show as Processed. Orders placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday are shipped on the same day. Orders placed over a weekend will be shipped the next working day.

• Standard Shipping method normally takes 3-4 working days to a UK address.
• We do not currently offer a weekend delivery service. Orders placed before the 2pm cut-off time on a Friday will be delivered the next working day.
• Next Day Courier method is a next working day service that is available to orders placed before 2pm on a working day. Deliveries can be up to 7pm for residential addresses and 5pm to business addresses.
